GLOSSARY · DEVELOPMENT
What is a survey plan (plan ofsubdivision)?
The surveyed plan that creates new lots. Once approved and registered with the titles office, the new titles exist and can be sold.
IN PRACTICE
Registration is the finish line of a subdivision: until the plan is registered, buyers cannot settle and the project cannot be repaid. Council sign-off usually depends on the civil works being complete or bonded, so the path to registration needs planning from the first day of construction.
